After 18 years in Quality Assurance Consultancy and after a great six month sabbatical, I’m formally launching myself as an independent consultant. Its my chance to help other’s lead, scale and grow their consultancies or professional firms, whilst doing something I really enjoy.

My services are based around the concept of “the Balanced Consultancy”, a practice that continually strives to maintain the right balance between external or client facing functions, and internal or employee functions.

I’m providing strategic and operational consultancy as well as training focused on building new leaders for the consultancy profession.

I’m building this practice from the ground up, so to all my former colleagues out there, I’d enormously appreciate any contacts, leads or other help you could give.

My focus over the last 3 months has been creating training material. The Consulting Fundamentals programme is already available on Udemy, and I’ve recently turned my attention to filling the enormous gap in Consultancy Leadership training, which is currently filled by generic leadership practices or a narrow focus on building pipeline.

The first (pilot) Consultancy Leadership Workshop is running on July 19th in Auckland, with dates in Wellington (16th August) and Auckland (13th September) to follow. I believe it’s a truly unique offering in its breadth and consultancy focus. To access the syllabus click here
